Why I do what I do

This website will give you a glimpse into my work as an artist,  community builder and activist. I have been negotiating the world through the lens of a creative entrepreneur for the last two decades. It's been a wonderful journey with a lot of learning and collaborating with people I deeply respect.
In the coming years, I believe that creative thinkers will be crucial to document, stitch, hold and present the world. We are at the very edge of collapse on one side, and of a future that can spin out into unimaginable wonders on the other. I believe we can get to the happier side by working together!

Camouflage II

February 17th, 2009

Arcs, its great that you are posting in these exciting things which are happening in ‘our’ city! I have been busy re-making my website, which should be up very soon. Net4in is host. And is driving me mad and taking most of the time, more than actually re-designing the site.

Other than that, I have started another of my camouflage series. The size is the same, 7′ x 4′. And I am posting an image of the same. Its still in process. The same technigue of flowing colours, mixed media (including emulsion, acrylic & oil) and exposing all layers… hope to complete it this week.

Hey, I am fine with August for show or maybe September…

  • hey good to see your painting back in the lime light here. I know what you mean about service providers! they suck! Its always been a harrowing experience for me too…

good to see the initial stage of this painting…I am very keen to start working on a big canvas…been feeling the pull since the ‘wall’ at my exhibition.

keep it going girl! We will wait for pooj to post in now about the dates…i guess she makes the final call.

  • hey nirali, very nice piece. something about the energy and the colours reminds me of van gogh. keep it up! will you have these up for the group show? august or sept works for me. i just have to get my ass into production as i have a bunch of paintings that i have to make to “distribute” – galleries and our own show.
