Why I do what I do

This website will give you a glimpse into my work as an artist,  community builder and activist. I have been negotiating the world through the lens of a creative entrepreneur for the last two decades. It's been a wonderful journey with a lot of learning and collaborating with people I deeply respect.
In the coming years, I believe that creative thinkers will be crucial to document, stitch, hold and present the world. We are at the very edge of collapse on one side, and of a future that can spin out into unimaginable wonders on the other. I believe we can get to the happier side by working together!

Tapestry – 1

December 12th, 2010

Alright! this one is all done. I’m still considering whether or not to ‘tighten’ the seated figure’s hand or not. Right now its pretty rough, but i like it that way – for now at least. The edges actually have about 2 inches on all sides.

Happy with the piece. For now I have to live with it and see if I want to do anymore to it – but for now i think its done. On to the next!

  • sorry the lighting is so bad. today is a really gloomy day and its the best i could do with the camera

  • no probs…i think you might want to revist this at some point later. Feels like parts of it are unresloved – for example, the part that is on the right side (the second figure).

…Perhaps the textures are not showing up due the the lighting?
